Flush-Wordy

Some days there's a whole lot to say

And words trip over each other

Erupting out in a gush

Other days like today

Words are silent with decay

Like water stuck in an ancient rusted flush

Agree one hundred percent. Also one should never try writing on such days. The words you force out would never carry the meaning or beauty the ones that come out on their own possess. (Like the comment I wrote here!)

Smile if you have nothing to say. Yes, let this emptiness, this profound indifference shine out spontaneously in your smile.

As someone who CANNOT rhyme... I appreciate it in the poetry of others :)

Sometimes, silence says everything
Emptiness helps to fill out a void
Wouldn't you rather take silence to blithering?
Add to that a mixture of The Beatles and Floyd

Perfectly worded. Loved the rhyme and the title, so apt!
The words will flow, don't push it! Otherwise, you'll just end up flushing them away!

Well, this much of a flow on a day when there is no flow!

Wow, some of the comments are even better than the post (er...no suprises there, it was a day with plumbing issues).

MS Cris - True. And I did write a piece and chucked it after 1000 words - what a waste!

Roy - Yes, the smile is still in place :)

Mercury - Thanks. For a day not meant for words, I am secretly very pleaed with the way this turned out.

V - Bravo. Perfactly said. And I'd like to add Beatles and Floyd to almost everything!!

B - Glad you liked. Been reading your stuff regularily and am quite the fan :)

Arun - What can I say. It must be some sort of fluke...shhh. ..dont tell anyone I said that.....

Hey Preeti....I just read your previous post and I can just feel your frustration at Abhay's perseverence :)

I'm going to be dropping by more often here :)

The silence passes from me to you and "from you to me",
It almost seems like "I want to break free",*
Sometimes I just wish people would "Speak to me",
And then I would feel that "I'm a King Bee!!"**

* Adding a bit of Queen to the mix.
** I am partial to the Floyds...

Smm - Glad you liked that one :)

Al walling - Hope to see you around here more often.

Born a Libran - Should we put together a song writing session? Huh? Huh??

U encompassed the same gyan i was giving to a friend here... The posts we forcefully make ourselves write are devoid of the soul... presently if i don't like, i don't post it either... :)
